Great meeting on Tuesday with 20 Members and 9 Visitors, including a Visit from Montville Lodge. The presentation by RW Bro Fursman, “Bondage to Liberation”, was very well received.

Brethren, our January Meeting will be Tuesday 16th, with a management Meeting and Practice on Tuesday 9th January. There will be no Practice meeting on Tuesday 2nd.   The work for the month will an item of Masonic Education.

The December Christmas Meeting was a great success, with 21 Members and 3 visitors welcoming the AGM RW Chris Pyke, the AGDC VW Bro Mike Aldrich and our AGSW VW Bro John Whitehorn to the meeting. We then retired to the Christmas Festive Board, where 20 Ladies, Partners and Lodge Widows were waiting. All attendees enjoyed a great meal, provided by Kathy Himstedt, and lots of good cheer and conversation. Everyone certainly enjoyed themselves.    

Brethren, our Meeting on the 19th December will be our traditional Christmas Feast with our Ladies, Partners and Friends. We will Tye at 7:00, Open, conduct the business meeting and then Close.   The meal costs are $20 for Brethren, Ladies free and a paid Bar.   Please advise the Secretary by Friday 16th of your attendance, so that the Caterer can be advised of the numbers.   Brethren are also requested to bring along food items and a wrapped marked gift for our Christmas donation to the disadvantaged.   The Wm invites all Brethren who are available to accompany him to Montville Lodge on Tuesday 12th December, for the annual Montville Christmas visit. Meet at the Lodge at 6:30 for car pooling, if required.

25 Members and 1 Visitor attended the October Meeting, with the new WM and his new Officers Opening and Closing in the Three Degrees. W Bro Humphrey discussed the meaning and importance of Signs and the correct way to do them, while W Bro Medlicott presented a very interesting talk on “The Winding Stair”

Brethren, our October meeting on Tuesday 17th October, Tyling at 7PM, will be to open and close in the Three Degrees, plus an item of Masonic Education.   Practice Meeting on Tuesday 10th, preceded by a Management Meeting.

Brethren, our August meeting on Tuesday 15th, Tyling at 7pm will be the completion of the Degree of a Master Mason on Bro Patrick Howard.   Practice meetings on the 1st and 8th August, with the Management Meeting preceding the Practice on the 8th.

26 Brethren and 2 Visitors enjoyed a good ceremony last night, with Bro Patrick Howard receiving the first part of being Raised to a Master Mason. He will receive the second part on Tuesday 15 August.   The night also saw RWB Ian MacRaild being presented with his 60 Year Jewel by WB Bob Medlicott.   Bro Jarrod Brake was elected as Master Elect of the Lodge, with his Installation to be on Saturday 16 September.

Brethren, our next meeting on Tuesday 18th July will be the first part of the 3rd Degree for Bro Patrick Howard and the Election of officers for 2017-2018, Tyling at 7PM.   There will also be the Presentation of a 60 Year Jewel to R For Bro Ian McRaild. As usual, there will be Practice on Tuesday 4th and Tuesday 11th July, with a Management Meeting preceding the practice on the 11th Thursday 29th June saw some of the Brethren working at the Lodge’s Sausage Sizzle at Maroochydore Bunnings.

Brethren, our June Meeting on Saturday 24th June, Tyling at 6 pm, will be a Masonic Memorial Ceremony honouring our late members Wor. Bro. Graham J. Metcalfe, Wor. Bro. Delwyn. R. Linkhorn and Bro.Raymond D, Fuller, to which all members and their partners are invited to attend and it followed by a buffet dinner and refreshments in the South.   Please note the changed date and time for just this special meeting.   There will be a quick Business Meeting prior to the Lodge being open to family and friends.   Practices will be Tuesday 13th and 20th, with the Management Meeting being prior to the practice on the 20th.
