Our Meeting on Tuesday saw 18 Members and 7 Visitors enjoying a visit by the OIC Maroochydore Ambulance Station and two volunteers, all organised by Bro Don Culley. They gave a demonstration and discussion on defibrillators and CPR, then all present had a chance to practice CPR on two adult and two child sizes mannikins, which lit up when it was being practiced correctly. It was certainly a very informative evening.
Brethren, Our Meeting on Tuesday 17th July will be a quick business Meeting, including the Election of Officers for 2018 – 2019, then a presentation in the South on CPR/Defibrillation and Prostate Cancer by some Ambulance volunteers. There will be a Management Meeting on Tuesday 3rd July, followed by the newly elected officers practicing their new positions for a 1st Degree Ceremony. On Tuesday 10th July, Brethren are requested to attend Montville Lodge for their Annual Quiz Night. On Thursday 5th July, the W Bro Brake requests that all who can, accompany him on a Fraternal to Waverley Palmwoods, to regain the Travelling Gavel.
Brethren, our June Meeting is Tuesday 19th June, which will include a presentation on “The Four Pillars” by W Bro Harry Adlerstein from Melbourne. The only Practice will be 12th June, combined with the Management meeting.
13 Maroochydore Brethren travelled down to Caloundra last night for a Fraternal Visit to Caloundra Lodge. W Bro Scott Roberts delivered a very interesting and thought provoking paper, which was well received and enjoyed.
Brethren, There is no Practice on Tuesday 1 May, instead the WM wishes to visit Caloundra Lodge, who will be giving an interesting talk. Management Meeting and Practice on Tuesday 8 May and our Meeting on Tuesday 15th May, where there will be a talk titled”What can we tell our friends about Freemasonry”.
Brethren, our next meeting, Tuesday 17th April, will be an Exemplification of the 1st Degree, Tyling at 7:00PM. There will be a Practice on Tuesday 3rd April, and Management meeting and Practice on Tuesday 10th April, all at 7:00 PM.
Great Meeting last night. 23 Members and 6 Visitors listened to a very interesting Presentation by W Bro Bob Medlicott on “The Presentation of the Ritual” It was very informative and raised many points for consideration for all of us on how we should deliver our charges. There was also some good discussion among the Brethren following the presentation.
Brethren, our March Meeting, on Tuesday 20th, will be Opening and Closing in the 1st Degree, and W Bro Medlicott presenting an item of Masonic Education titled “Delivery of the Ritual”, written by R W Bro Verrall of UGLWA. Tyling at 7PM. Management and only Practice Meeting on Tuesday 13th March at 7PM.
Last night’s Meeting included a very interesting talk on Royal Arch Masonry by V W Bro Bob Hannell, which was well received by the 24 Members and 4 Visitors. There was also a very interesting speech by a visiting German Brother on the differences he had observed between UGLQ Ritual and German Ritual and procedures. R W Bro Kevin Grant also made an interesting address on his attendance at an English Constitution Installation in Hong Kong and the differences and similarities.
Brethren, our Meeting this month is on Tuesday 20th February, with practice on Tuesday 6th and Management Meeting and Practice on Tuesday 13th. We will be opening and closing in the Three Degress, Calling Off for an item on Royal Arch by W Bro Hannell, Calling On and then retiring.
